DÉJÀ VU: A Fresh Face, an Age‑Old Touch.
Every angler knows the moment.
A ripple breaks the glass at dawn. A familiar weight loads the rod tip. The strike cuts through the quiet, and something whispers: I've lived this before.
That flash of recognition gave us our name. But we don't think those moments should come down to luck.
For generations, fishing know-how lived in gut feel and trial and error. We started DÉJÀ VU to make it easier to understand. Our five signature colors are each matched to a kind of water and light, so you know what to tie on and why. Our gear is designed around the water you fish.
Respect for the old craft. Clear thinking for the next cast.
A fresh face, an age-old touch.
Made for the days you'll remember.
DÉJÀ VU™ is rooted in California water: the Sacramento–San Joaquin Delta, East Bay reservoirs, and the shorelines where so many of us caught our first fish. It began with a simple picture: a parent and a kid on the same water, years apart.
A lot of people stop fishing because they have no one to go with. So we're building a calm, local home base: honest guides, public water you can trust, and gear worth passing down.
Science-led. Our guides follow a clear chain, from habitat and the water column to how fish sense light and color, to presentation, to balanced tackle and careful catch-and-release. We check official sources such as CDFW and link to them.
